Steven qualified as pharmacist in 1986 in Port Elizabeth, and after completing national service, he continued his studies at Stellenbosch University to qualify as medical doctor in 1996.
He opended his private practice in Hout Bay, and by integrating the other doctors in the area, he founded, developed and co-owns the multi-disciplinary Hout Bay Medical Centre.
Raised by an accountant father and enterpreneurial mother, Steven has a keen interest in business and management. He is the managing member of a commercial property holding company, financial associate in a retail franchise, and acts as managing trustee on a body corporate.
Steven also has a special love for children, and from that, founded the South African chapter of Fathers-4-Justice (F4J) in 2004, of which he still acts as Chairperson. Fathers-4-Justice is a worldwide activist organization campaining for the rights of children affected by high conflict divorces. The South African chapter of F4J is styled as a Voluntary Non-Profit Association, mostly funded by Steven personally.
As a medical doctor, Steven gained valuable experience practicing as general practitioner over the last 22 years, dealing with an array of medical and surgical issues, including emergency medicine and acute trauma.
In 2016 Steven obtained certification from the American College of Disability Medicine and the American Board of Independent Medical Examiners (IME) under the auspices of the American Medical Association as Independent Medical Examiner (IME). This has steered Steven's focus as a medical doctor towards medico-legal cases, involving personal injury and medical negligence.

Laura qualified as an Occupational Therapist in 2008, and completed her community service year in 2009 at Tembisa District Hospital (Department of Health: Ekurhuleni). She enjoyed the privilege and benefit of being mentored and supervised by a leading Occupational Therapy Medico-legal Specialist in Pretoria (Anneke Greeff) for a period of six years (2010 – 2016). During this time, she obtained several promotions and acquired extensive Medico-legal Occupational Therapy knowledge, until she reached the position of Independent Consultant Occupational Therapist, serving both the Plaintiff and/or Defence Parties. She further gained clinical experience within the physical/ mental rehabilitation, geriatric and paediatric sectors by working as a Locum Occupational Therapist with several Occupational Therapy practices (2010- 2013). For a period of one year (2016/2017), she worked solely as an Expert Medico-legal Occupational Therapy Consultant, as well as Medical Case Manager for ABSA Trust.
Laura has special interest in the foundations of all the facets of Medico-legal and/or Insurance work, the application thereof, as well the wellbeing of her patients during, upon settlement, and after the Medico-legal/ Insurance investigation process has run its course. She further is passionate about Medical Case Management, especially pertaining to the optimal care of victim’s due to Personal Injury; inclusive of Third Party Incidents, Medical Negligence, Road accidents (RAF), and Train accidents (PRASA) etc.

Sannchen Pretorius obtained her B Occ Ther Degree at the University of Pretoria in 2012. She has since gained valuable clinical experience in the public and private sectors within the areas of Physical Rehabilitation (orthopaedic and neurological conditions, amputations and burns) as well as Paediatrics (orthopaedic and neurological conditions, burns, sensory processing disorders and developmental delays).
She completed her community service year in 2013 at Kalafong Hospital, after which she entered into private practice. She has experience within the field of paediatrics, assisting children to obtain their full potential in a school environment and in their activities of daily living; physical rehabilitation within a hospital setting; case management; as well as field to ensure continuous clinical experience. She has been working in the Medico-Legal field since 2014, where her passion and interest lies. Her areas of interest include Third Party Claims, Medical Negligence, Road Accidents (RAF), and Train Accidents (PRASA) etc. Her valuable clinical experience allows her to provide optimum service to her patients and clients. She loves being an Occupational Therapist and strives to maintain a high level of ethics and integrity.
Dr Runél Fouché

Dr. Runél Fouché obtained her B.Com Behavioural Sciences Degree Cum Laude at the North-West University, Potchefstroom in 2004. She obtained her Honours Degree in Industrial Psychology in 2005 and her M.Com Degree in Industrial Psychology in 2006.
During this time Runél Fouche was part-time lecturer at the North-West University as well as House Committee Leader and consecutively Primaria at Bellatrix Ladies Hostel.
She enrolled for her PhD in Industrial Psychology in 2007 at the North-West University, Potchefstroom. During her second semester of her first year of studies she received a full scholarship to study a second Master’s Degree in the Netherlands, at Tilburg University. She stayed in the Netherlands for 6 months whilst pursuing her M.Sc. (Organization and Cultural Diversity Degree). She completed her Master’s thesis back in South Africa whilst concurrently perusing her Industrial Psychologist Internship and working on her Doctorates Degree. She completed her M. Sc qualification in 2008 along with her Internship. She obtained her formal registration as Industrial Psychologist at the HPCSA in 2009 and completed her PhD in the same year.
She entered the field of Medico-legal third-party claims, initially under supervision in 2009, and worked independently within 6 months. Since 2010 she opened her own practice, Elimika Industrial Psychologist, working on both plaintiff and defence claims for RAF, PRASA and occasional medical negligence claims or similar 3rd party claims.
As of 2018 she joined the association of MEDLEGAL Medical Consulting forming a collaboration with well experienced experts in their individual fields of expertise with the main focus being on 3rd party Medico-legal claims.
Dr. Fouché assists in determining loss of earning potential of individuals, due to injury, resulting in permanent or temporary loss of work capacity and subsequent loss of earning potential. She also does Spousal and/or loss of support claims.
